David Willoughby will present “Pipeline AC Interference and Mitigation” on November 17, 2021 2021.
The AC Interference and Mitigation webinar is offered as a 6.5-hour course that covers the principles of AC interference and mitigation on pipelines. This course addresses the basics of AC circuits, AC interference, how to predict the effects of the AC interference on pipelines, and current methods and equipment used in AC mitigation. Course topics include the basic principles of AC circuits, induced AC pipeline voltages, shock hazards, AC corrosion, fault conditions, AC modeling, AC mitigation, and AC measurement techniques. This course utilizes a combination of theory and practical.
Course Objective:
The objective of this course is for each student to understand the fundamentals of AC interference and AC modeling and mitigation. The course will provide the student with knowledge of AC interference and mitigation design.
